Perfect baskets for picnic, beach, purse, diaper bag or markets. These baskets are uniquely woven on looms in rectangular pieces and then sewn together using strong ropes woven from palm leaves. The weaving is often done by two people - one sitting on each end of the loom. Typically, the weaving is done primarily by men, and the leatherwork is done by women. The source of these baskets is the region around Esssaouira, Fair Trade. Comes in three sizes or as a set. Large measures approx. 18 x 7 x 12" tall. Medium measures approx. 16 x 6 x 11" tall. Small measures approx. 10.5 x 5 x 9" tall.
